ITCC join CM Motorsport on the grid…

The Irish Touring Car Championship is Ireland’s newest and most exciting race series. With capacity grids of 30 cars already witnessed in its inaugural 2010 season, the ITCC has been a shot in the arm for Irish motorsport and is set for even bigger things in 2011 with four races per day and 40+ cars! The series has not only attracted a host of newcomers to the sport but also some of the sports’ most respected saloon car racers and champions, with more joining every round.

The rules and regulations are quite open to ensure a wide and varied selection of machinery is on track fighting it out for outright and Rookie Cup honors. Any front-engined, production-based car sold with seating capacity for at least four people is eligible. Exact details on these regulations are available on the menu to your right.

The class is run by Philip Burdock & Brian Sexton who have a wealth of experience in all forms of motorsport.

The grid is made up of drivers who run their own cars as well as professional race teams who run their own ‘works’ cars with hired drivers. The orgainsers run two championships, one for outright honors and an equally hard-fought championship for rookies in their first year of motorsport. The top three in each class receive large engraved trophies.
